What is an EcoTank printer?

Printer ink and toners are costly and sometimes more expensive than the printer itself. When it’s time to replace the ink or toner of a printer, it’s important to consult an ink and toner buying guide to make sure one buys the right brand for one’s printer.

An EcoTank printer is different from other printers since it doesn’t use replaceable ink cartridges. Epson EcoTank printers allow users to refill the printer’s ink using ink bottles that are typically much cheaper than replacement inkjet cartridges. Not only does an EcoTank printer allow one to save money by no longer needing to use replacement ink cartridges, but it’s also an eco-conscious option and helps reduce the number of plastic ink cartridges that end up in landfills.

How to fill the Epson EcoTank?

The ink tank is located at the front of the printer, making it easy to refill or check the ink levels. Refilling the four large ink tanks is a fast and easy process. One can wear gloves for extra precaution to prevent getting any ink on one’s hands while refilling the ink tanks. It’s also recommended to place a sheet of paper underneath the ink tank before refilling. The ink bottles can be resealed, and the ink can be stored upright for later use. 

How long does EcoTank ink last?

Each ink bottle has enough ink to print 4,500 pages in black and 7,000 in color.
