If your office frequently deals with shipping and mailing products, packing paper, packing foam and other packing materials should be part of your shipping room supplies. Packing paper and packing foam are excellent additions to shipping containers, keeping things lightweight for postage-saving benefits, while adding an element of soft, cushioned protection that you can rely on.

Packing Material Construction

Although paper might not seem like the go-to choice when it comes to durability and protection, packing paper offers just enough cushioning around products to help keep them safe from harm during transport. When choosing between different types of packing paper, pay attention to the paper weight - the heavier the paper, the stronger it will be.If wrapping merchandise, tissue paper is a lightweight option that's ideal for packaging smaller, lightweight objects, since it can be crumpled and shaped easily. For a bit more stiffness, go with traditional postal wrap or kraft paper, which are great for multipurpose use. Packing foam is perfect for protecting fragile items and valuable products, including dishes and electronics, and foam offers the added bonus of resisting movement to stay in place, even during bumpy delivery rides.

Roll or Sheets

Packing paper rolls provide sizing flexibility, allowing you to extend a piece of paper as far as needed to cover an item or fill a container's void. For added convenience, opt for perforated rolls, which simplify tearing off a desired length of paper, or individual packing foam sheets, which expedite packing time even more.
