Features
Most binding spines and combs work in conjunction with your comb binding machine to hold your punched papers together. Once properly bound, your document can be opened like a book, and the pages will lay flat. Choose binding combs and spines made from durable material that will not peel, chip or discolor, such as heavy plastic or PVC.Some binding spines are designed to be used without a binding machine - simply punch your papers with a compatible punch and manually snap the spines together. This type of spine is generally made of plastic or metal. This method of binding allows pages to easily be added or removed.
Capacity
Make sure to choose binding combs and spines that will properly accommodate the size of your projects. There are combs and spines available for a number of different paper capacities. Keep a variety of sizes on hand to be prepared for when the next project comes along.
