It's also critically important to pay attention to the cut length, which can range from a standard 12" up to 60" for larger projects.

Cutting Blade

Most paper trimmers use a guillotine-style blade that cuts through items when a swift, downward motion is applied to the handle. Safety is prioritized with a paper cutter that uses a tension spring to keep the handle arm in any position, preventing it from falling, plus a safety guard that covers the sharp blade when it's not in use. Choose a paper trimmer with a rotary knob that slides back and forth for smooth cutting and keeps fingers away from the enclosed blade.
