The customized LED backlight design increases contrast ratio and optimizes the light output based on the ambient lighting conditions. The end result is amazing visual image quality. The CoolVu thermal management system allows all displays to have optimal performance in different temperature ranges. The patented cooling system is designed to eliminate heat related hardware issues that are common with traditional outdoor displays. The protective cover glass also features anti-reflective coating to limit the suns effect to heat the inside of the BoldVu unit. Protection from the outdoor environment is built in, so no additional hardware or environmental protection is required. Each design features protection from dirt, dust, rain, snow, heat, and cold. Closed loop cooling means no maintenance, no air filters, and ensures protection of all internal components from the ambient air. The system serves as an air to air heat exchanger to dissipate heat without the use of air filters and air conditioning units. The close loop cooling also prevents the build up of condensation within the display itself, which can cause major electrical problems.
